Golden Connection

Privacy

Golden Connection is a private dance circle, not a company. We collect as little about you as we possibly can — this page says exactly what that is.

Controller

These details are being finalised and will appear here as soon as they are. Until then, reach us through the person who invited you.

What we store about guests

  • A first name and an optional hint (e.g. “from Köln”) — you type these yourself on your invitation page so the team knows who you are.
  • A random codename and an invite link, which we keep only as a hash.
  • Your yes or no per social, a waitlist place, whether you were there on the night, and your song wishes.
  • Timestamps of these actions.
  • Your WhatsApp number — but only if someone on the team enters it, so the invitation opens straight in your chat instead of through a contact picker. Ask us any time and we delete it.

What we do not store: no email address and no postal address of guests. Conversations still happen on the organisers' private phones, never through this server.

If you request an invitation

The form on the homepage asks you, voluntarily, for a name and a way to reach you. Only we see that request, we use it to get back to you, and then we delete it. If you accept the invitation, only your first name stays in the guest circle — the contact detail goes with the request.

Team accounts

For the organisers we store a name, an email address and a password hash so they can sign in to the panel.

Legal bases

  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest): running a gathering with a limited number of places — we need to know who is invited and who is coming.
  • Photos: there is no gallery today and we publish no photos. If that changes we will ask for your consent first (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and you can withdraw it at any time.

Cookies

No advertising or analytics cookies, no tracking, no external scripts or fonts. We set only lang (your language choice) and — for the team only — a sign-in cookie.

Recipients

The site runs on a rented server (Hostinger) in the EU, which keeps technical access logs. Beyond that we share nothing: no analytics services, no ad networks, no selling of data — to anyone.

How long we keep it

  • Invitation requests: deleted once we have replied.
  • Per-social detail: collapsed into counts after the social (how often invited, confirmed, attended).
  • Codenames with no activity: removed after roughly twelve months.
  • You can say “take me off the list” at any time and we delete your entry.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Just tell the person who invited you, or write to the address above. You may also complain to a supervisory authority — for us that is the Data Protection Commissioner of North Rhine-Westphalia.
